The hope was started in the semester break last 2010. I spent the whole holiday at home with my family. In one of the night, I accidentally watched one of television series movie, the title is "Lie to Me". That movie tells about one of science in revealing people's lies called micro expressions. In the first time I watched the episode, I just fell in love with that movie, I'm still watching the movie until now, FYI, I also own the DVDs.
By the time I was watching the movie, I've became curious about the science of micro expressions and detecting lies, so for that reason I searched about it in the internet. I found it!! I searched and downloaded all or the information about it and since then, I've been learning about it.
Learning about that science is so interesting, and it is true that we can learn to detect lies in people. I can't tell the whole information or knowledge that I've been learning to you in this Blog (at least now), but if you are interested in this science, just search it in the internet.
But, by the time goes, with my knowledge keeps increasing, my mind becomes wider. I have a plan that I want to continue my study abroad. Before this time, I had no idea about what major I should take in Master degree, nut know I know what field that is very suitable not only with the field that I'm majoring now, but also suitable with my hobby. That field is Forensic Linguistics!!!
In Forensic Linguistics, I know that I can apply the knowledge that I've been learning. In this field, we will learn how to analyze linguistics data particularly in law and criminal data. I can apply all the knowledge of Linguistics such as Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, Semantics, and so forth to analyze the data. And the most important is that in Forensic Linguistics, I can reveal the truths. That is the primary reason.
The Forensic Linguistics and the science of detecting lies are very much connected, and they are all the science of revealing truth. I have to promise myself that I will learn as much as I can to master those sciences. I will do it, I will reach my plan, and I will reveal the truth in this earth surface until beyond the sea.
